AgentNod for Claude Code

Answer Claude Code without finding the terminal

Claude Code stops before it runs a command, edits a file, asks you a question or starts on a plan. AgentNod shows each of those stops as a card on your Mac and sends your answer back to Claude through its own hook.

Join the beta
A HUD card where Claude wants to run npm test, labelled read-only, with Allow, Deny, Deny with note, Always and Allow + auto.

What reaches the queue

Permission requests. Bash, edits, writes and fetches arrive with the full command or the diff, the session's folder and branch, and a risk label: read-only, writes in repo, writes outside, network, destructive or secrets.

Questions. When Claude asks with options, the card lists them with ⌘1, ⌘2 and a free-text field. Several questions in one call are answered together.

Plans. A plan renders as Markdown in a reader. Approve it, or send it back with what to change; Claude reads that as "The user reviewed the plan and asked for changes".

How you answer

Allow with ⌘Y, deny with ⌘N, or deny with a note that Claude reads as the reason. Always appears where Claude's own prompt would offer it and becomes a rule. Allow + auto does what the terminal's "Yes, and switch to auto mode" does.

Rules can be written through to Claude Code's own permissions.allow, so the same command stops asking in the terminal too.

Rather answer in the terminal? The arrow on the card hands the prompt back, and ⌘J jumps to the window it came from.

How the reply gets to Claude

Install adds AgentNod's entries to ~/.claude/settings.json and keeps a .before-nod copy of the file first. Every other hook stays as it was.

The reply uses the shape Claude Code honours for a PermissionRequest, checked against the real claude CLI with a headless run that allows one command, denies one with a note and answers a two-question prompt.

When AgentNod is not running, the hook returns at once and Claude asks in the terminal as usual.
